William Herrington - Vice President

Herrington

I am from Paris, Kentucky (a small town NE of Lexington, KY).  I left home after graduating High School in 1998 to go to college and I met the love of my life, Christen Herrington.  We have been married for 21 years and have two adult children.

I joined the Army as a 54B/74D in 2000 and served my first four years in the 82nd Airborne Division.  While assigned to the 1st Special Forces Group, I re-classed to become a 35M, Human Intelligence Collector in 2006.   I left the Army in January 2010 after my 2nd deployment.  I began working as a contract instructor at the 35M10 Course in June of 2010 and became a DA Civilian in that capacity soon after.  I fell in love with teaching at the 35M10 Course, especially with the creation of the learning material, and received my Master of Education in Instruction and Curriculum Design in 2015.  After working at the 35M10 Course for seven years, I left in 2017 to work as a course manager in the Staff and Faculty Development Branch for two years.  Since April 2020, I have been working as the Battalion Education Specialist for the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion, and I enjoy what I do.

My Family and I love it here in Sierra Vista and can most often be found camping or hiking at various places in the area.  I enjoy painting and playing games with friends and volunteering on the USAICoE Civilian Support Council (CSC).  The CSC is a body of DA Civilians that oversees the USAICoE Mentorship Program and provides DA Civilians on the post with other developmental opportunities.
