Jamie Goldsmid - Vice President

I was raised in the Netherlands, where after completing two years of college I moved to the United States, transferring to the University of Missouri, in Columbia. In 2004, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications and International Business.

After college, I worked as a media planner for an advertising agency in St. Louis until life took me to Germany for the next five years, where both of my wonderful children, Jasper and Jade were born. During that time, I held several positions within Army Child and Youth Services, the DoDEA schools, and Military Human Resources. Human resources became my career as I started with the Military Personnel Division on Fort Huachuca in 2010. During the last few years, I was given the opportunity to supervise and further my professional development, including serving as the Installation Voting Assistance Officer, and transition the Military HR community on Fort Huachuca into IPPS-A. In 2022, I was offered the opportunity to transition my career into the civilian human resource realm with the Fort Huachuca Garrison, then the Electronic Proving Ground, and was then promoted at the Information Systems Engineering Command. My passion is serving the Soldiers, their Families, and the wider Fort Huachuca community.

Being raised multilingual, I speak three languages fluently and have enjoyed being able to use these abilities in civil service, as well as on a contract basis, in support of our government. The Sierra Vista area is a wonderful place to live: Jasper and Jade were fortunate to attend the Fort Huachuca Middle and Elementary Schools and now attend Buena High School, and the larger community serves our hobbies quite well. We love to be outdoors, go swimming, biking, or hiking in the mountains. We love traveling and my family often visits from the Netherlands as they love spending time together, as well as this wonderful weather and the beautiful scenery.

My free time is spent reading, drawing, painting, and watching movies with my kids. I also like to volunteer in the community with my friends. A passion of mine that started very young and continues today is traveling, with many destinations still to discover.
